She was searching for help via Google and only after five to seven “specialists” finally reached me. Before that, at least five people tried to push her into prepayment — from $300 to $1,500 USD. The arguments were standard: “it’ll be too late soon,” “I have a queue,” “a deposit is required to start,” “I guarantee the result.”
What actually happened
A few weeks earlier, she submitted an application for a “high-income job” on an unremarkable website. To “fill out the form,” she was asked to download an Android app. Inside wasn’t a form — it was malware.
After that, everything followed a chain reaction: money was withdrawn from her account, her email was taken over, and then her Telegram account was hijacked. She had to rebuild her digital life from scratch: access, links, passwords, confirmations, support tickets — while simultaneously fending off new scam attempts.
Why this request is so dangerous
